I’ve been a solo lash artist since 2007 and since then, I’ve managed to build a successful lash business. There were a lot of things I learned through trial and error and in this article, I’m going to share the top 7 things I wish I would have done sooner.

When I first became a lash artist in 2007, I really thought that my background as a hairstylist would help me to build a super successful lash business. I quickly learned that starting a business and getting it to the point where you can work full time in the business is a lot easier said than done.

There were quite a few things I learned along the way while building my business that helped to make my business super efficient and profitable that I wish I knew when I started.

My hope is that by sharing these things with you, that it helps to save you time so you can get your business to profitability as quickly as possible.

Charge by time blocks and not by weeks

Raise my prices

Make consultations mandatory for all new clients

Don’t accept anyone who’s willing to pay me (focus on ideal clients only)

Get online booking

Separate my personal phone number from my business number

Be ok with saying no
